DUPING

Stereo slides are usually duped right in the mount. 

It is recommended that all original slides be PRECISION MOUNTED before duplication (see MOUNTING below). 

Duped slides will be returned:
a) In strips ready for you to mount or
b) Mounted in stereo mounts (extra, see MOUNTING).

If slides need unusual cleaning, an extra charge may apply. View Master dupes (25% surcharge) are enlarged to fit 7-P (28mm) mounts. Dupes are made on duplicating film (E-6). "Realist" format slides are 21 mm wide "European' (7-P) slides are 28 mm wide (normal slides are 35mm wide).

"REALIST" MOUNTING

Stereo slides are usually in mounts referred to as "Realist Format". The American Stereo Realist started the stereo camera craze in the late 1940's and originated the 4 x 1 5/8" stereo mount (image pairs 21mm wide = "5-P" or 5 perforations wide). Germany and France made stereo cameras with a wider (28mm = "7-P" or 7 perforations wide) image pair.

Original slides should be PRECISION MOUNTED for optimum viewing and projection, especially when submitted for duping. This is a custom service which accurately aligns stereo slides in the "window" (RBT Plastic mounts only). CARDBOARD MOUNTING* is also available. While not as accurate as metal or plastic mounts, careful attention is paid to each image for proper "window". Cardboard mounts are not recommended for projection. Ultra close-ups (4 ft. or less) taken with a stereo camera must be mounted in RBT 4-P (16mm) mounts.

Only processed film will be mounted. MARK any images you don't want mounted!

VIEW-MASTER MOUNTING

We are now offering mounting for stereo pairs taken with any model VIEW-MASTER Stereo Camera. Slides will be mounted in the order received on the roll (seven pair per reel). We accept PROCESSED, UNCUT film. Any images not good enough for mounting should be X'd out with a marker. If there are empty slots on the last reel, the blanks will be filled with black film (but charged full price for reel, so try to insure you've got a multiple of seven images to mount).

Only processed film will be mounted!

Generally DIGITAL ICE technology will be used to provide the cleanest scans.
However, Kodachrome slides may not accept this processing.

Acceptance Mark

Although utmost care will be taken, STUDIO 3D cannot be responsible for lost or damaged materials. Usual turnaround time is 1-3 weeks. Rush service available at extra charge... be sure to call ahead.
